Consultant Plastic Surgeon
Mr Fred Schreuder is a Consultant Plastic and Hand Surgeon at Sancta Maria Hospital, Swansea, with an NHS practice at the Welsh Centre for Burns and Plastic Surgery, Morriston Hospital. He has been a Consultant since 2004 and brings over 20 years of experience in plastic surgery and hand surgery across both emergency and elective conditions.
Within hand surgery, Mr Schreuder manages common hand conditions and has developed a specialist wrist practice with a particular focus on scaphoid non-union and wrist pathology. He relocated to Swansea following 17 years as a Consultant in Hertfordshire, where he held an active NHS and private practice.

Training and Fellowship
Mr Schreuder trained in Plastic Surgery in London, Liverpool and Swansea, before undertaking a year-long Hand Fellowship at the Sydney Hospital Hand Unit under the guidance of Professor Bruce Conolly. This fellowship allowed him to combine plastic surgery expertise with orthopaedic hand experience, giving him a distinctively broad surgical skill set.
Patient Care
In November 2013, Mr Schreuder received a Patient Experience Award from East and North Hertfordshire NHS Trust, reflecting his longstanding commitment to patient-centred care. He tailors all treatment to the individual needs of each patient and offers both face-to-face and video consultations.
