Mr Leong Hiew has been a Consultant Plastic Surgeon since 2006. He practices general plastic/cosmetic surgery with an interest in cosmetic breast surgery and body contouring. Areas of cosmetic breast surgery include breast augmentation, breast reduction, breast uplift (mastopexy) with or without implants, correction of breast asymmetry (different sized or shaped) breasts including tubular deformity, correction of inverted nipple and correction of gynaecomastia in the male chest. Areas of body contouring include abdominoplasty, liposuction, arm lift (brachioplasty), thigh lifts and body contouring after weight loss; and Treatment of skin cancer/lumps and reconstruction, and lipoma removal.

He is employed in the NHS as a general Plastic Surgeon with a sub-specialist interest in Breast reconstruction. His NHS practice includes treating a large number of patients with skin cancer and reconstruction. To date he has performed over 5,000 cosmetic/plastic surgical breast operations in the private and NHS sector over a 15 year period.

During his plastic surgical and fellowship training, he worked in plastic surgical units across the United Kingdom including Manchester, Leeds, Liverpool and Swansea. He makes a conscious effort to stay abreast of the latest techniques and developments in plastic and breast surgery by being involved in annual national and international plastic surgical conferences and courses in Europe and the United States.

He currently Chairs the Plastic Surgery National Specialist Advisory Group(NSAG) for Wales, and also contributes to the continual training of junior doctors and medical students in the NHS in the role of an Educational Supervisor.
