Mr Amar Ghattaura qualified from University College London Medical School in 1995 and has trained extensively in London and in South Wales. He is currently an NHS Consultant Plastic Surgeon at Morriston Hospital in Swansea specialising in breast and microsurgery. He also consults and operates at the Llandough breast unit in Cardiff and Royal Glamorgan Hospital. In Mr Ghattaura’s NHS practice at the Welsh Centre for Burns and Plastic Surgery, he is the clinical lead for microsurgical services and supermicrosurgery (lymphoedema surgery).

Over the last 27 years of working in the field of plastic surgery, Mr Ghattaura has worked in many prestigious plastic surgery units in the UK including the Royal Marsden Hospital, Great Ormond Street and the Oxford Radcliffe Infirmary. As well as gaining valuable experience of breast surgery in Harley Street, London, he has been trained in breast surgery at the University Hospital Ghent, Belgium. Mr Ghattaura consults privately in Cosmetic and Reconstructive Surgery at Sancta Maria Hospital with interests in breast surgery (enlargement, reduction, uplift and reconstruction following cancer), body contouring surgery (liposuction, tummy-tuck, weight loss surgery) and facial surgery (eyelid reduction, browlift, ear surgery) as well as skin rejuvenation.
