Consultant Radiologist
Dr Toby Wells is a Consultant Radiologist at Sancta Maria Hospital, Swansea, with an NHS practice at Swansea Bay University Health Board. He has been a consultant in Swansea since 2012 and holds the role of Clinical Lead for Imaging at Swansea University, where the Clinical Imaging Facility operates as a joint venture between the university and Swansea Bay University Health Board.

Dr Wells offers a range of diagnostic radiology services at Sancta Maria Hospital, including reporting of CT, MRI and other imaging investigations across his areas of specialist expertise in gastrointestinal and oncological radiology.
Training and Background
Dr Wells studied medicine at Imperial College London, where he was awarded the Palmer Scholarship. He completed further training in general medicine before specialising in radiology at the Peninsula Radiology Academy. He was appointed as a Consultant Radiologist in Swansea in 2012.
Academic, Research and Leadership Roles
Dr Wells is active in research and teaching alongside his clinical work. He represents Welsh radiologists on the Faculty Board of the Royal College of Radiologists and is the Clinical Lead for Imaging at Swansea University. He has previously held additional management roles within radiology.
