Mr Yeung Ng qualified from Glasgow University In 1998 with dual degrees in Medicine and Medical Biochemistry. He went onto gain a research doctorate in Surgical Technology (MD) as a fellow under the tutelage of Sir Alfred Cuschieri in 2004. He completed basic surgical and then higher urological training in Scotland before moving to South Wales in 2013 for his appointment as a Consultant Urological Surgeon.
His subspecialist interest in stone surgery continues including ureterorenoscopy (URS) and percutaneous nephrolithotomy (PCNL). He has developed his NHS practice in Hywel Dda Health Board bringing in new techniques including the first Welsh Fusion Targeted Prostate Biopsy service for prostate cancer detection, multi-parametric prostate MRI, and Greenlight laser vaporization for benign prostate enlargement. He provides a broad general urological practice encompassing male and female lower urinary tract issues. Yeung continues to pursue research interests as a Principal investigator for ARAMIS and PRONOUNCE prostate cancer clinical trials. He has roles in medicines safety within the health board and is involved in national panels on planning Welsh urological care.
Yeung is particularly proud to have forged strong links with the local community and through generous charitable donations, have raised over £100k for our NHS Hywel Dda Urology fund, which is being used to introduce cutting edge treatment.
