About
Mr Madhav Kittur is a consultant Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeon based in South Wales. He is dually trained in dentistry and medicine. Mr Kittur works both in the NHS and private sectors and practices the entire range of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. He has had extensive training in the UK and overseas. Having completed basic medical training from Cardiff University, he undertook basic surgical and Specialist Oral and Maxillofacial Training in South Wales. He then completed an Interface Fellowship in Therapeutic Use of Lasers. Towards the end of his training, he completed an Advanced Head and Neck Surgery and Microvascular Reconstruction Fellowship in the 9th People’s Hospital Shanghai. He also has completed the Global Online fellowship in Head and Neck Oncology awarded by the International Federation of Head and Neck Oncological Societies.
Mr Kittur is on the specialist list for both Oral and Maxillofacial surgery (held by the General Medical Council) and Oral surgery (held by the General Dental Council). He has a special interest in oral cancer and microvascular reconstruction of the Head and Neck region and is a core member of the South West Wales Head and Neck cancer multi-disciplinary team.
Mr Kittur is the author and co-author of numerous publications in specialist journals and has presented papers at national and international meetings. He is committed to teaching and is actively involved in teaching medical and dental practitioners and trainees in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery
Mr Kittur is employed by the Swansea Bay University Health Board and is based in Morriston Hospital Swansea. He is presently the clinical lead in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery.
