Mr Ananth is a Consultant Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon (OMFS) in South Wales employed by the Swansea Bay UHB and based between Morriston & Singleton hospitals and Princess of Wales hospital Bridgend.

Mr Ananth is a specialist in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery trained in the full range of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery services. He studied medicine in Cardiff and undertook basic and higher surgical training in London and South Wales. Following this he underwent a fellowship in Facial Plastic Surgery in the United States.

His subspecialty interests include facial deformity, craniofacial trauma, cutaneous malignancy, salivary gland diseases, temperomandibular joint disorders, oral medicine and dentoalveolar surgery.

Mr Ananth is the Training Programme Director for OMFS in Wales and is committed to training and teaching. He is a liaison member of the Specialty Advisory Committe (SAC) which influences training in the UK. He is a member of the Editorial Advisory board for the British Journal of Oraland Maxillofacial Surgery (BJOMS) and a reviewer for several international journals. In addition, he is an examiner for the Royal College of Surgeons for the Member of the Faculty of Dental Surgery (MFDS).

Mr Ananth’s interests outside work include travel and sports particularly cricket.
