Mr Conor Marnane is a Consultant in Otolaryngology (ENT) and Head and Neck Surgery. He graduated in Medicine from the University of Wales College of Medicine and completed his Higher Surgical Training in Otolaryngology in South West England. After finishing his training in the UK he spent a further year as a Senior Fellow in Head and Neck Surgery at the Royal Adelaide Hospital, Adelaide, where he developed further expertise in complex head and neck surgical procedures, including Trans Oral Laser surgery, and techniques of advanced endoscopic sinus surgery.
He has been a Consultant ENT Surgeon in the NHS since 2007 , based at Morriston Hospital, Swansea where he is a senior member of the Head and Neck Cancer Multidisciplinary Team and also leads the regional Complex Voice Disorder Clinic. He is a member of the British Association of Head and Neck Oncologists and the British Laryngological Association.
He has held a number of senior clinical management roles during his Consultant career including Clinical Director of Surgical Specialities and is currently Deputy Clinical Director of the National Strategic Clinical Network for Cancer Networks and Planning
He has extensive experience in managing all types of adult and paediatric Ear, Nose and Throat conditions and has a special interest and expertise in the management of benign and malignant head and neck conditions , voice problems, throat and swallowing problems, and diseases of the nose and sinuses.
He has an interest in teaching , education, and research and holds an Honorary Senior Clinical Tutor position at Swansea Medical School.
