Dr Linzi Thomas has specialised in Gastroenterology since 1991 and has extensive experience in that field, as well as in General Medicine. Her special interests include the management of inflammatory bowel disease. She is the Clinical Lead across the Trust for Nutrition.

Dr Thomas qualified from University of Wales College of Medicine in 1988. She became a Member of the Royal College of Physicians in 1991 and has been a Fellow of the College since 2000, having obtained a doctorate in medicine (MD) in that same year.

Her training in gastroenterology was in Bristol, Guys Hospital and South Wales. Her academic and research activity include publication of more than twenty peer reviewed papers and Honorary Senior Lectureship in the University of Swansea. She has been a Consultant Gastroenterologist in Swansea since 2000.
