Our Treatments

Interventional Procedures

These are some but not all procedures carried out by the clinics Shoulder surgeons

Shoulder Arthroscopy

Arthroscopy is commonly known as ‘key hole surgery’. Usually, two or three 5mm puncture wounds are only required. Shoulder arthroscopy is used to determine more precisely what is wrong

Rotator Cuff Repair

A complete rotator cuff tear will not heal. Complete ruptures usually require surgery if your goal is to return your shoulder to optimal function. A rotator cuff repair involves stitching the torn tendon back onto its attachment to the arm.

Shoulder Injection

Injections into soft tissues and joints can be very effective in giving pain relief when the tissues are inflamed. The injection that you have had includes a small amount of Steroid that has an anti-inflammatory action and a local anaesthetic.

Arthroscopic Labral Repair

If the labrum is torn the shoulder can become unstable. This is what happens in shoulder dislocations and instability. Different injury mechanisms cause different tears in various sites around the labrum.

Shoulder joint Replacement

In shoulder replacement surgery, the painful surfaces of the damaged shoulder are resurfaced with artificial shoulder parts. The part that replaces the ball consists of a stem with a rounded metal head. The part that replaces the socket consists of a smooth plastic. Modern implants use bone preserving prostheses.
