Those With Urological Symptoms Urged To Contact GP
Neil Fenn, an NHS Consultant Urological Surgeon who works at Sancta Maria Hospital and at Swansea Bay University Health Board is urging people to consult with their GP if they experience new urological symptoms. These symptoms include:
- Blood in the Urine
- Worsening urinary symptoms and / or retention
- Cystitis with fever/chills
- Testicular lumps
- Uncontrolled loin pains
Despite the coronavirus pandemic, patients should still discuss unusual symptoms with their primary care provider, even if this is over the phone or via a video conference rather than in person.
A GP will then be able to initiate simple investigations and referral for further assessment if required.
