Our COVID-19 Response

You may be aware that we are currently working with Swansea Bay University Health Board during the current coronavirus pandemic.

Details of our involvement and response to the pandemic can be found below in a joint statement from us and Swansea Bay University Health Board.

“During these very challenging times, Swansea Bay University Health Board and HMT Sancta Maria Hospital, a not for profit healthcare provider in Swansea, are working together to maintain access for treatment for cancer patients.

“Last week, Sancta Maria started operating on some of the NHS cancer patients who would usually have received their treatment at a Swansea Bay facility.

“Its clinical support teams have been retained to care for these patients. Sancta Maria ceased providing all non-urgent care to patients two weeks earlier in preparation for this change.

“The team, clinical and non-clinical, at HMT Sancta Maria Hospital is proud to be supporting their fellow healthcare workers and Swansea Bay University Health Board is extremely grateful for their contribution to the pandemic response.”
