We currently have the opportunity for an enthusiastic and motivated Housekeeping Assistant to join our growing Housekeeping bank team.

To work as part of a team providing a high quality housekeeping service to patients, consultants and staff. Ensure that all required cleaning tasks are completed, as required by the shift. This may include washing, vacuuming, cleaning, polishing, dusting and sweeping. Ensure that all areas of the hospital are presented to a high standard for patients and visitors.
You will be required to work flexibility with our housekeeping department in a variety of duties within the role to ensure that all areas of the hospital are presented to a high standard for patients and visitors.
Main duties and responsibilities:
- Complete a range of cleaning tasks efficiently and to a high standard within bedrooms, bathrooms, offices and communal space as directed by the Housekeeping Supervisor.
- Carry out daily & weekly cleaning duties in line with agreed timescales and standards.
- Replenish all hand towels, toilet rolls, soap etc as wand when required
- To operate all mechanical equipment i.e. floor cleaning machines, steam cleaners and vacuum systems in line with safer operating instructions
- Contribute to the maintenance of the fabric of the building by reporting any defects and faults to ensure a safe working environment.
- Maintain & replenish stock and ensure that equipment is clean & well maintained
- To take responsibility for the safe storage of all cleaning products and materials, ensuring all hazardous chemicals are stored securely.
- Waste - To empty and remove all domestic and recyclable waste ensuring waste segregation and identification process are followed at all times
