About
Dr Noonan-Croft is a General Practitioner with over 20 years experience within the NHS, and for the last two years has provided a dedicated menopause clinic for patients registered at her practice in Llanelli. Over her career, she has developed her passion for Women’s Health, and menopause in particular, and is a British Menopause Society-accredited Menopause Specialist, having completed the FSRH Advanced Certificate in Menopause Care.
She is passionate about empowering patients with knowledge about the menopause and perimenopause, and promotes a holistic approach to care, supporting individuals to take control of their menopause. Recognising that the experiences of menopause vary between individuals in terms of symptoms, their severity, and their impact on an individual’s quality of life, she believes it is important to explore and understand the needs and preferences of each woman in order to provide an individualised approach to care and offer a tailored management plan. She also recognises that menopause transition presents an opportunity to enhance health and wellbeing during this life stage, with health promotion and disease prevention being important facets of care during this time.
Swansea born and bred, she studied Medicine at the University of Wales College of Medicine in Cardiff, from where she graduated in 2003. She completed her early medical training in West Wales General Hospital, Carmarthen before moving to Reading, where worked at the Royal Berkshire Hospital under the Oxford Deanery General Practice Vocational Training Scheme. Since qualifying as a GP in 2007, she has worked in several practices across south West Wales, and also worked in the Sexual Health Service in Hywel Dda for a number of years, before returning to General Practice.
