Dr Kalra is a specialist in management of infertile couple including assisted conception with extensive experience over 20 years. He works as Consultant Reproductive medicine and Surgery and Clinical Director at Wales Fertility institute, Neath Port Talbot Hospital and Consultant Gynaecologist and Fertility specialist at Singleton Hospital, Swansea. Having completed his training in Obstetrics and Gynaecology in Norway, he trained in Reproductive Medicine and Surgery in Norway and the United Kingdom. He later did a Master of Science degree in Reproduction and Development at University of Bristol. Dr Kalra was awarded best research project award by University of Bristol for his research work.
Dr Kalra’s special interests are Management of infertile couple, Minimal access fertility surgery, Recurrent implantation failure and Fertility Ultrasound scan. Dr Kalra is a member of British Fertility Society (BFS) and European Society of human Reproduction and Embryology (ESHRE). He is a British Fertility Society accredited trainer in Management of infertile couple, Assisted conception, Fertility preservation and Fertility and early pregnancy scanning. He has contributed to several successful quality improvement projects in the NHS and has won several awards. Dr Kalra has several publications in peer reviewed journals as well as national and international presentations.
