Mr Price qualified in medicine from Emmanuel College Cambridge in 1979. He underwent postgraduate training at Glasgow Royal Infirmary, Leeds General Infirmary and the University Hospitals of Leicester. In 1992 he was appointed to Morriston Hospital Swansea as a consultant physician with an interest in Diabetes and Endocrinology. Mr Price now only practices Endocrinology and has an interest in all aspects of adult Endocrinology. 

He has over 80 research papers to his name, mostly in the areas of sexual dysfunction and thyroid disease.
