Mr Scott graduated from the London Foot Hospital in 1988 and qualified as a podiatric surgeon in 1999.
He started his career working in HIV clinical research alongside working in sports and dance medicine. He has worked for professional sports teams and major theatre companies including River Dance, Rally Useful Company, Disney and Cameron Mackintosh.
He has worked as a surgeon at 2 major London hospitals and specialises surgical treatment of hallux valgus (bunions) and sports injuries.
In 2011 he gained an Masters Degree in Healthcare Law and Ethics from Swansea Universtiy.
Mr Scott played rugby at elite level and has completed 3 London Marathons. He currently participates in the Porthcawl Park Run as well as cycling and attending the gym.
He has lived in South Wales for over 20 years and has a wife, two daughters and two energetic dogs.
