Following the promotion of the current post-holder, we are looking to appoint a new IPC Lead at HMT Sancta Maria Hospital. This is a key role as the successful candidate will be expected to lead on all infection prevention and control processes to support the variety of specialities and complex services offered within the hospital.

As a registered charity, Sancta Maria Hospital is well established and has been providing care to patients for over 50 years. We are only private hospital in Swansea offering a wide range of procedures carried out by a number of our leading consultants and are passionate about putting the patient first.

This is an exciting time to join the team at Sancta Maria Hospital as we have recently opened our brand-new state-of-the-art private hospital situated in the SA1 area of Swansea.

Skills

The post holder will be a qualified and experienced Registered Nurse or registered healthcare professional. You will be responsible for leading all infection prevention & control processes within the Hospital, by assisting the Head of Clinical Services to achieve a robust governance framework in their role as Director of Infection Prevention & Control

We are a very inclusive team who use a collaborative approach to identify opportunities to improve and solve problems, so it is very important that the candidate can work as part of a wider multidisciplinary team. The candidate will need to have excellent interpersonal skills to uphold the high standards of service we provide to our patients, their carers and consultant users. They will need to be flexible and be able to adapt dynamically to changing situations.

You must have the ability to work on your own initiative undertaking the leadership of all infection control concerns and providing effective infection control services through the hospital. You must have commitment to influence change and drive progress in the challenging and changing speciality of infection prevention and control.
