Following the successful opening of our brand-new state-of-the-art hospital situated in the SA1 area of Swansea, we are looking for experience Bank Customer Service Assistants to join our busy and varied Customer Service team.
We are only private hospital in Swansea offering a wide range of procedures carried out by a number of our leading consultants. As a not-for-profit organisation, Sancta Maria hospital is passionate about putting the patient first.
This is a BANK post to cover annual leave, sickness, and support busy periods within the hospital.
Within the Customer Service Department the successful Bank Candidate will provide customer service and administrative assistance to all customer-based departments including reception, appointments team, inpatient bookings, inpatient notes and medical records.
Reception- To welcome, receive, advise and assist patients and visitors to the Hospital and direct them, when necessary, to the appropriate department in a caring, approachable and pleasant manner, demonstrating excellent customer service.
Appointments Team- To receive all hospital incoming calls, which include supporting patients to make appointment bookings, taking payments and directing callers to the correct Hospital departments. General duties will include day to day admin, amending clinics, liaising with Consultants and other Hospital departments.
Inpatient Bookings Team - Prepare patient lists while liaising closely consultants, gain an understanding of clinical of clinical procedures and regularly update Compucare 8 regarding patient information, e.g. address change, change of GP, telephone numbers etc.
Inpatient Notes Department- To use the Compucare 8 system in the preparation of paperwork for the admission and discharge of patients. Liaise with theatre, wards and patients’ accounts department regarding admission and discharge of patients.
Medical Records To assist with the preparation of paperwork required for outpatient appointments, including cancellations and clinic lists and liaising with both clinical and administrative departments. To undertake administrative duties to include filing, preparing lists, referral letters and retrieval of patient notes, ensuring that all records and statistics are kept up-to-date.
